Therefore, how we care for our colleagues is critical, in order to retain them and unlock their full potential.

Since 2008, Marshall Motor Group has surveyed its colleagues through its independent yearly "Great Place to Work" survey. This feedback and interaction with our colleagues has enabled management to develop its people strategy. This strategy can be measured by the Great Place To Work Trust Index and, over the period 2008 to 2015, Marshall Motor Group’s Trust Index has shown a significant annualised improvement, increasing from just over 55% in 2008 to 83% in 2015, and demonstrating improvements in all areas of the Index: Pride; Camaraderie; Fairness; Credibility; and Respect. All of this has culminated in Marshall being announced as the Great Place to Works 19th Best Large Company to Work for in the UK in 2016.
